vPentathlon is a blog about virtualization.  I am planning to blog my journey as I work toward earning VMware certifications.

The name I chose for this blog, Pentathlon, is of course a sporting event consisting of 5 separate track and field events.  In order to become a successful pentathlete, one must work and train hard, be dedicated, and possess endurance.  To me, this symbolizes the effort and dedication required to study and learn the material, complete the exams and earn the five certifications that I will need to become VCDX-DCV.

A little bit about myself, I’ve been a storage engineer for about 20 years.  2 years ago, I earned the VCP5-DCV which has expired and now I’m looking to earn the VCP6-DCV and advance all the way to the VCDX-DCV.  I also hold a MCSE and CCNP and have a lot of experience in UNIX systems.

Hopefully I can help others in my journey.

Thank you for reading!
